South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue’s “RECRUIT FIREFIGHTER SCHOOL 19-1: Fundamental Structural Firefighting” begins September 28, 2019. The deadline for registration is September 20, 2019. Please contact the Fire Chief at your local district to register.
Classes are held on Wednesdays (1800 – 2200) and Saturdays (0800 – 1700), September 28, 2019 through December 18, 2019. The majority of classes will be held at South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue, Station 32 located at 6131 Hwy 211. Newport.
Pend Oreille County Fire District #4 will be hosing a Basic Fire Fighter Academy supported by the Washington State Fire Training Academy through the Regional Direct Delivery Program. This class and training will provide the new and experienced volunteer fire fighter, fire ground knowledge and skills to perform safely on the fire ground in a team environment.
These classes will also prepare the candidate to take the Washington State International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) Fire Fighter 1 and Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations written and practical tests.
